WOMEN'S HOCKEY OVERSEAS.
An English women's hockey team, tho majority of whom will form the personnel of "the English touring team to compete at the Empire tournament in South Africa in July next, played an international match against Ireland. Ireland was defeated by throe goals to two, after the teams had changed ends with England leading by two clear goals, states an exchange. This was Ireland's last match in the women's international series, their represeutalives, who havo kept Jthoir places throughout, having lost to Scotland by two goals to one, and drawn with Wales, at two goals all, before this encounter, which provided England with their twenty-sixth victory. Ireland have wTon on but threo occasions, and tho goal aggregates are now: England 158, Ireland 33. .
