SPEEDWAY CONTESTS
The first event at the Kilbirnic Stadium Speedway to-night will be an attack on the record by W. Kihnister, the New Zealand champion, who recently covered four laps in Iniin 30sec. It was last Saturday that C. Spinks put up a new record of lmin 17 4-Ssec. Other notable events at to-night's meeting will include the scratch contest between J. Hollis, E. Blake, and W. Kilmister. These three riders will meet one another three times in special races, all of which should be very thrilling. Hollis and Blake are making their first appearance here, and both come with fine records of doings in Australia, where they are on the scratch mark. The. "big three" will also compete in the open handicap, as will E. Whittle, the spectacular Australian boardsider, who is matched with XV. B. Harvio and T. Wilkinson in a series of special races. Selected second division riders are also to compete in a special race. With tho exception of tho handicap the racing to-night will be under rolling start conditions, nnd this should adu greatly to the thrills of the meeting.
