Bain earlier in the day did not seriously affect the going, the track being in fair condition. There is a good attendance. Besults:— Omaranui Hurdles Handicap, of 150 soys; one and three-quarter miles.—4 Jen, 10.4, 1; 6 King's Jest, 10.3, 2; 5 Diana's Lad, 10.3, 3. Also started: 1 Keel Bank, 3 Essential, 2 Baukaponga, 7 Heather Blend. Won by a head. Time, 3min Msec. Esk Hack Handicap, of 110 soys; six furlongs.—B Keen, 7.4, 1; 1 Belle Star, 8.9, 2; 4 Cloyne, 7.0, 3. Also started: 2 Boyal Opera, 6 Tourisf; 3 Abbey Queen, 5 Kahu Ariki, 7 Pereke. Won by a length.
