FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' MEDICAL INSTITUTE
At the annual meeting of the Wellington United Friendly Societies' Medical Institute there was a large attendance of delegates. The president; Bro. H. W. Smith, was in the, chair. The board's report and balance-sheet was received and adopted. It showed the balance of assets over liabilities to be £3426 3s 9d, and the membership over 3000. , • The following were elected as officers for the ensuing year:—President, Bro. A. J. Cathie; vice-president, Bro. V. G. Johnson; immedate past president, Bro. H. AY. Smith; trustees, Bros. J. J. L. Burke, A. W O. Travers, and T. G. Kershaw;-sec-retary, Bro. AY. M'Laughlin; treasurer, Bro. A. Guise; management board, Bros. C. -P. M'Kenzie, T. AVestwood, and I. Hymau; auditor, Bro. H. Bolton.
