■DUNEDIN, This Day
Comment on tho reoonfc finding of tlio National Unemployment Committeo has caused considerable) upheaval in local Labour circles. Open hostility is being expressed at tho statements of Mr. Ralph Harrison, a trade union.'official, and it is reported that the Otago Labour : Ecprescntation Committee has already dissociated itself from hia remarks. The committee held a meeting on Thursday evening, and totally disagreed with Mr.' Harrison's statement to the Press. , Tho Trades and Labour Council has the matter down for consideration at its meeting on Thursday, when it is likely that there will bo some very plain speaking , It'is believed that the action of the two workers' representatives on the tlnemploymeijf. Committee is to be severely criticisdtt by many delegates. The latter are asking the question, "Why is it proposed to place the burden of responsibility for unemployment almost entirely on the shoulders of tho whole of tho working-class?"
