The Chief Secretary, Mr. Tunnecliffe, has agreed to the request of a deputation of athletes that a searching investigation should be made into tho allegation by J. XV. Sc.hafe, at the Victorian Athletic League meeting recently, that doping was prevalent on a large scale among runners. Tlie deputation resented Sehai'c's remarks.
