The usual Wellington fortnightly sale of hides, skins, and tallow was held yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers. Hides: Heavies and lights sold at par; mediums %d lower; kip, yearling, arid calt at par with last sales. Ox, 331b to 441b 5 7-Bd, 451b to 521b 5%d to <SVzi, 531b to 591b 6> l-8d to 6 7-Bd, 601b to 691b B'/4<J to' 7 £Bd, 701b and over 6 3-8 dto 7 3-8 d; cow, 331b to 391b 5 5-8 dto 5 7-Bd, 401b' to 481b 4%d to 5 7-Bd, 491b and over 5d to 5 7-8 d; kip, 251b to 321b 5d to 5%d, 171b to 241b 5%d to 8 5-8 d; yearling, 111b to 161b 6d to 8 5-8 d; calf, 91b to 101b 7 J/2d to 8 7-Bd, 61b to 81b 9d to 12% d, lib to slb. 6 5-8 d to* 13Ud. Dry sheepskins were sold at par to Id lower; halfbved 9%d .to 9y2(1; fine crossbred 9%d; medium crossbred 7d to_^ B',id; coarse crossbred 6'/&d, half-wools. 5%d to 7%d, quarter-wools 4d to 7'/2d, pelts 3d to 7%d. Salted skins sold at par, pelts 2s Bd, quarter-wools 3s to 4s 4d, half-wools 3s 9d, lambs 2s 6d. Tallow was unchanged; casks 22a 6d, tins, etc., 15s .to 25s 6d. Horsehair 17d to 18d. j
