CLERK ARRESTED

OAMAEU, This Day.
James M'Laren, a county clerk, a married man with a grown-up family, was arrested this morning and appeared before Justices of the Peace charged with the theft, .between November, 1923, and- February, 1930, of £83, the property of the Waitaki County Council He was remanded until Monday. Bail was allowed at £100 and a surety of £200. .
