As teams will al3o be sent by Australia, South Africa,' ■ Newfoundland, and British Guiana, the Now Zealand committee is very anxious to send as many representatives as possible from Now Zealand, and it was decided last night to hold a special meeting on the 6th March,- 1930. To this representatives from all othei^ bodies governing amateur sport would be invited to discuss matters in connection with the Games, and their assistance would be sought iv arranging a suitable team. The question of nominating representatives was discussed, and it was decided that the prospective competitors must bo recommended by each governing body, the final selection being left with the members- of the British Empire Games .Committee. , Messrs. Amos and Bayfield were appointed a sub-committee to go into the question of dates, expenses, and assembling of the team, their report to be.considered at the next meeting. Beference was made to the stand! taken by: the New Zealand Swimming Association with regard to tho offer by the Canadian Committee towards .the expenses of the New Zealand team, and it was decided to forward a letter to the association expressing the committee's appreciation of their action in agreeing to forego all claims.upon the money, so as to assist the Bowing Association in sending a team of eight rowers.
