LODGE MEETINGS
Waiwhetu Lodge, No. 436, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its regular meeting recently at Upper Hutt, when Bro. Hudson, N.G.j E resided over a good attendance. One rother was reported sick, and the necessary sick pay was passed. The Lodge considered, the "Official Hand Book" for the coming year, and decided to give all possible support to this undertaking^ which has proved, such a help to members of the Wellington district. A proposal to run a series of euchre evenings during the year was discussed, and it Svas arranged to hold a tournament extending over a period.
Ngati Awa Lodge, No. 152, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its.usual meeting recently at lloera, Lower Hutt, when Bro. S. Kay presided over a good attendance. Several members reported regarding their efforts to gain new members. Accounts were passed for payment and correspondence received and discussed. After the business members engaged- in cards. Bellevue Lodge No. 126, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., Lower Hutt, held its fortnightly meeting recently when Bro. Wotten, N.G., -pre; sided over a good attendance. Brothers in-hospital were reported to be making good progress, and several claims for sick pay and medical refunds were passed, together with other accounts. During the evening the Lodge discussed various ways by which the social well-being of its members might be helped, and several excellent suggestions were brought forward, and it is hoped that before long these suggestions will be put into practice. The keenness of the members for ritual work was demonstrated by the large number of entries received for the Lodge competi' tion, which is to be held shortly. After lodge business had concluded, several musical items were given by Bro. Macdonald and community singing was indulged in. Star of Petone Kebekah Lodge, No. 45, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting recently, Sister Isaac, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. One nomination for membership was received. After closing an enjoyable social evening was held.
Heretaunga Lodge, No. 115, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnight meeting recently, Bro. Bargb, N.G., presiding. Two members were reported sick and sick pay waß passed. One nomination for membership was received. Bros. Belchamber and Smith were visitors from Eawhiti Lodge, Auckland, and were accorded a welcome. After closing, cards ended a pleasant evening.
The fortnightly meeting o£ Muritai Lodge, No. 113, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held at Eastbourne last Monday evening, there being a fair attendance. Bro. J. Hartridge, N.G., presided. Bro. G. F. Rudkin, District Secretary, was a visitor and spoke at some length on possible changes in the present hospital system. The usual busi-: ness was transacted, after which members went into harmony.
