HELP TO MOTHERS.
"Mothcrcrafl," is a very valuable littlo book, by Dr1. L. G. Housden, with help from his wife (generously acknowledged), and published by Herbert Jenkins, London. The book gives clear directions to expectant mothers for ante-natal treatment, and also releases them from the tyranny of a number of foolish old sayings and customs which have done harm in the past. Dr. Housden's ideas are modern, but not too modern or "faddy." Plain commonsense, sympathy, and knowledge of tho subject are displayed throughout the book, which should be invaluable for women in the country and those wishing to treat themselves and their children as far as possible. Ordinary dangers are explained, and cases needing early application to the medical attendant are dealt with. Though simply expressed, the book is thoroughly interesting, and should be of great use.
