"I have been to W,anganui, FairieL The house we. stayed in is opposite Virginia Lake. The surroundings are wonderful. Almost every tree seems to grow here, every native, anyway, and a great many tropical, foreign ones. The red gum was in full bloom here, and reflected-in the lake, it gave such -a beautiful cheery tinge +0 all the different surrounding greens. The water fowl are numerous and lovely.
