FIRES

GISBORNE, This Day. A seven-roomed, house at Tolaga Bay, owned and occupied by J. Oallaghan, was destroyed by fire last night. Tho insurances, are £800 on the house and £320- on the contents.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, This Day. Fire at 8.45 this morning gutted a vulcanising shop owned by Mr. F. Ferrinian and occupied l>y Mr. Roy Moore, the stock being destroyed. An adjoining shop, also owned by Mr. Ferrinian and occupied by Messrs. Sutton and Glendining, was slightly damaged. Tho buildings are insured for £600 in the North British Office. Mr. Moore's stock was insured for about £200.
