The Piunket Shield match between Otago and Wellington commenced at Carisbrook this morning in dull but line weather. Tho wicket is easy, improving as the day progressed.- The outfield was slow. Wellington won the toss and batted. Baker and Foley opened, tho former taking strike to Dunning.
