Taranaki (N.Z.) Oilfields issue the following repor.t for the, week ended 25th January, p i93o:—Gisborne No^ 2 Well: Drilled to 3727 feet; mostly shale; last 25 feet hard limey sandstone; somewhat less gas; B%in diameter casing leaking at depth 80ft; propose to cement this off. Meantime under-reaming hole from 2726 feet to bottom. . .
