COUNCIL STAFF PICNIC
The City Council offices, with tho exception of essential dally public service offices, arb closed to-day on the occasion of the annual staff picnic at Day"a Bay. Most of the picnickers got away by tho half-past ten boat, mid.tho remainder by an early afternoon boat. Tho pleasantly warm weather has assured the success of the day's outlnff. The chief features of the day are a varied sports programme and a tennis tournament.
