HIRERE FROM AUCKLAND. • V The small steamer Hirer*, recently Bold by, Messrs. M'Callum Bros., Auckland, to Messrs. Russell and Bailey, of Stewart. Island, arrived at Wellington to-day from' Auckland, Tit Napier. The Hlrere, which until recently - was used as a paisenger -steamer In Auckland harbour, is commanded by: Captain D. H. Cambridge, who recently took the Union Company's Tuatea from Auckland to Plctonl Captain Cambridge -will return to Auckland after he has delivered the Hlrere to her ownera at Bluff, but the small steamer will b« taken over to Stewart Island, where the will be vied in connection with the oyster trade.
