OBITUARY
EMMY'DESTINN, SINGER
(Received 30th January, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 29th January. The death is announced ofothe famous opera singer, Madame Emmy Destinn.
Emmy Destinn was born at Prague in 1878, the daughter of Emanuel Kettel. She studied under Madame Loewe Destinn, whose name she took. She made her debut at the Boyal Opera House, Berlin, in 1898. Her best-known parts were Senta, Mignon, and Carmen.
