The Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Victoria ended in a draw, three days' play having been lost owing to rain. Tho Victorians left immediately for Brisbane, where they will engage the Quoenslanders on Friday.
Eyder's batting to-day was sparkling and vigorous, and silenced the critics who were questioning his right to inclusion in the Test tour. Hendry had two lives. Ho was missed badly by Theak, who eventually caught him. This was Theak's first appearance in first-class cricket, and he bowled really well. .
