EXECUTIVE MEETING
The Executive Committee of the Wellington War Belief Association met today. Mr. L. O. H. Tripp presided, and thero were also present, Messrs. C. M. Luke, A. Macintosh, G. Mitchell, and A. O. Leach (secretary). " Sub-committee reports, which were confirmed, showed that tho Applications Committee had met on four occasions to deal with 160 cases, and the Emergency Committee on 32 occasions to deal with 44 applications. The number of persons who called at the office was 183, and of these 110 applied for direct and 73 for indirect assistance. The Finance Committee had held one ordinary and,, three emergency meetings since the last executive meeting, and in addition to its ordinary function of controlling the financial affairs of the association, dealt with four applications for assistance by way of loans. Tho total number of applications received during the period under review thus amounted to 208.
