AUCKLAND CITY ENGINEER
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post") AUCKLAND, This Day. Expert advico is. to be sought by Auckland City Council in the selecting of a city engineer in succession to Mr. W. E. Bush. The advisers who will be asked to make a confidential report on six applicants will be Mr. J. W. Mawson, Director of Town Planning, and Mr. F. W. Furkert, Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department. The decision to consult them was made by 12 votes to 10 after a long discussion at last evening's meeting of the council. A proposal to defer the question until February was defeated.
