HUTT RIVER BOARD ELECTION
The triennial election of five members to the Hutt Eiver Board is to be held on 14th January next over the whole of the board Js district (from the mouth, of the river to the > Silverstream. Bridge) in which there are some 4500 ratepayers. Nominations close at the Eiver Board office at noon on 2nd January. All the present members of the board, except Mr. W. T. Strand, are seeking re-election. Mr. Strand, who, for the past nine years has been chair-i man of the botird, Ones not intend to i stand agni" '
