PRO-BRITISH PROPAGANDA

COURT OVERRULES DISMISSAL

CHICAGO, 19th December, (sustaining a writ of certiorari superior, Judge Pam held that the former school superintendent, William M'Andrew, was not guilty of insubordination and that the "America first" charges were illegally prosecuted before the School Board which ousted Mr. M'Andrew during Mayor Thompson's antiBritish activities in Chicago.

On 21st March, 1928, the Mayor of Chicago, Mr. William Hale ("Big Bill") Thompson won his six months' fight against "pro-British propaganda," when the Chicago Board of Education resolved by ;s votes to 2 to remove William M'Andrew, Superintendent of Schools, from his position. The board held that all the charges of pro-British propaganda were sustained, throughout.
