BANKRUPTCY MEETING
A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Frederick Morton Gabrielsen, hairdresser, Wellington, was to have been held at the office of the Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tansley) to-day, but as there was only one creditor present the meeting lapsed.
The statement of accounts showed that the debts in the estate amounted to £178 18s Id. The assets t.-ere nil. The debts included the following:—Commercial Hotel, Haweva, £29; Dr. James, £20Fouhy, Kilbirnie, £15. The other debts were mostly small trade accounts.
In his sworn statement the debtor said he had a family to maintain, and hitherto had not earned enough to pay his" way. He undertook, if he retained a position in which he earned £5 a week, to pay his creditors 10s a week. The conditional offer was recorded by the Official Assignee.
