In the course of his evidence at the inquiry this morning into the death of C. E. M'Keuzie, the racing motor-cyclist, the driver of the motor-car involved ia. the collision'said, that at the dance he had attended earlier in the evening there | had been a bottle of whisky between three of them. The Coroner (Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M.) said that while he felt sure the parties concerned in the collision, wore quite sober he knew of cases where very little liquor had afiected men oa coming out into the fresh air. "I know this is a free country," added Mr. Barton, "but my own opinion is that if' a man .takes a whisky or two before he drives a car he is a fool."
