An analysis has been made by an expert employed by the British' Ministry of Health, which shows that of the 2;-' 000,000 tons of refuse removed eack year from London households it should be possible to retrieve 179,694 tona p£ paper, 77,606 tons of metal, 33,976 ton* of rags, 17,264 tons of bones, and 600,"----000 tons of clinker. A scheme for the erection of a reclamation plant and factories near London has already been prepared. " ' ~■'.■?.
