KING OF MUSHROOMS

The biggest mushroom ever seen in England was taken there in an air liner from Paris recently. According to the "Daily Mail," it weighed more than 121b>. and was the size of a large pumpkin. It travelled wrapped in cotton wool, and carried with it its own "passport"—a certificate of its identity and edibility, so as to avoid Customs delay. On/its stalk was a small silver disc inscribed "Ch'antilly Ho. 3." These big mushrooms, which are grown in special safes at Chantilly 100 ft below ground have a flavour quite unlike any other mushroom.
