With regard to the posting of Christmas correspondence the Chief Postmaster points out that the tendency of the public to bold off till the last minute causes serious congestion and delay. It would assist the Post Office to a very great extent and ensure the delivery of Christmas presents and other correspondence before the holiday season if the public would post their letters and packets as early in the day and as many days before Christmas 3B possible.
