SPORTS POSTPONED
For the third time, this season the Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre was unfortunate with:the weather last night. Just before the big .sports carnival at- the Basin Reserve was to start rain commenced to' fall, and the officials,'after, holding-'a nieeting, decided, in view of the conditions; to postpone the gathering until to-night. The unfavourable weather -to-day, however, has necessitated a- further postponement, and the meeting" has iibw been put off until Wednesday, the Bth January. Pass-out checks received at the ,gates last night will be available either for the nieeting on Boxing Day or that on the Bth January. :
