(Speelal to "The Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. The duplicating ana straightening of the Dunedin-Port Chalmers railway lme, a job that has been going on under the direction of Mr. C. N. Benzoni (railway engineer), for about three years, is now bo far advanced as to bring the end of th© earthwork in sight. It is expected that this part of the undertaking will be completed in about three months. Between thirty and forty men are engaged on the earthwork.
The straightening of the line carries it across the mouths of several small bays and two large bays, one- at Burkes. The embankments are already well consolidated at the base, andthere will be no delay once the ton layers are on in starting the lavintr oS the double line. " ' . .
