A BASUTO BRIDE
OSCAR SLATER'S ROMANCE
LONDON, 27th November. Oscar Slater told the "Daily Mail's" Glasgow correspondent that he will marry a full-blooded negress in April. "My fiancee was born in Basutoland, where her parents are wealthy planters. I first met her in Paris twenty years ago. She then was 20 and had just finished her education. "We corresponded throughout my long years in Peterhead Gaol, where once she came to see me. Her faith in mo was a tremendous comfort. We met again in Glasgow when I was released, and we became engaged, and after marriage I am going to my wife's home, to' take up planting.
