AT OTHER SCHOOLS
At a meeting of householders held in the Boseneath School last evening the following resolution was unanimously carried:— "That this meeting of householders desires to record a very strong protest at the attitude of the Government in declining to grant an increase in the capitation allowance for primary schools, and in pledging themselves to support the committee in furthering its claims, the householders desire to express their disapproval of any suggestion or contemplation of the committeo resigning its position." The following resolution was passed at the meeting of householders at Wellington South last night:— "This meeting of householders strongly objects to the action of the Government in refusing to help the school committees with increased capitation, especially seeing that capitation previously received was insufficient to carry on the work efficiently, and if no. satisfactory answer is received by the committee before the end of the financial year, 28th February, 1930, that they resign en bloc on-that date."
