DRUNK IN A CAR
Percy Hector Eoy was arrested by Conetable Sca.-y in York street, i/ower Hutt, i-.-.st evenk^ on a charge of being drunk while in clfurgs o£ a car. Ho appeared before Messrs. Q. A. Chapman and W. N. Dempsey, J.P.s, who after hearing the evidence of Dr. Mirarns and other witnesses considered the case .fully proved. Eoy was rinScl £10, in default fourteen days' imprisonment, and his driver's licence was cancelled until May, 1931. A request for the suppression of the accused's name, made by his solicitor, Mr. W. B. Eainey, was refused. ,
The Postal authorities have received cable advice from Sydney that the Marama, which left at 4 p.m. yesterday for Wellington, carries 80G bags of mail from Australia and 231 parcel receptacles, including 532 from other places.
