SOUTH AFRICAN NATIVES
DURBAN, 15th November, A police raid on native compounds at Durban resulted in the arrest of several natives for nonpayment of poll-tax. The trouble was said to be fomented by Communist agents from ■ Bussia, but a native professor blames over-taxation, and over-charges for compound beer.
