UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF
The Eed Cros 3 TJnemploment Committee, which met on Tuesday and dealt with a number of applications for relief renews its request to citizens to assist by applying to the committee if they have any light employment, for which the committee can readily find worl-ers who have been tried and have given cdmplete satisfaction. The committee asks those requiring service in the form of gardening, cleaning, wood-chopping or such occupations, to communicate with the secretary, telephone 22-574 when a suitable man will be dispatched without delay. By making available odd jobs for these difficult cases, the Christmas season for them is likely to be brighter than it otherwise might be. An anonymous donati«(n of £1 was eratef ulljr acknowledged.
