The Press does not mention Si* Esmond Ovey's appointment as Ambassador, as to which Soviet official circles aro most disappointed, because ha is a traditional diplomat instead of being someone in closer personal touch , with the Labour movement. It is be-' lieved that his regime will not assist trade development, which will continue in favour of the United States. It is revealed that the namo of the proposed Russian Ambassador was sent to London some days ago to ascertain if h« '. was persona grata.
