The movement to erect a memorial to Marshal Foch in London is well advanced. The monument will be a replica of the French statue at Cassel, -toch s headquarters during the earlier part of the war, in which the Marshal is represented on horseback looking towards the great stretch of country that once was occupied by the German armies. Hyde Park corner has bee n suggested as a site for the statue, w else ; the enclosed plot at Grosvenor Gardens, near Victoria Station.
