Some alterations in the Union Company's intercolonial service have been made necessary by the mishap to the Maheno's engines The Marama, which arrived at Sydney on Tuesday from Wellington, will return to Wellington, instead of leaving for Auckland, on Friday Passengers and mails which were to go by the Marama to Auckland will be taken by the Aorangi, which leaves Sydney to-day The Sydney service will then be taken up from Auckland by the Maunganui, which has been under overhaul, and she ,wlll sail on Friday 22nd November. . ' The Maheno was to have left Wellington on 20th November for Melbourne on the first trip of the new subsidised mail service, but will now commence the running from Melbourne, leaving there at the end of November for Wellington direct.
