U «ive even greater innoted Australian rider, who set up a new record in Christchurch, will be making his fcrst appearance on the local track, and both Jimmy Datson and Billy Sticpewich, two ■iie 1 well-kn°wn Australian broadsiders, will be seen in attempts to lower the record established here last season. All the visiting riders and the best of the local exponents will be participating in the Lyall Bay Open Handicap, for which there is a record entry. These events alone should provide much thrilling sport, but there will also be another contest to attract special attention, that for the Golden Helmet, which accounted for some of last seasons most stirring contests. This meeting gives promise of being one of the best on record. Other particulars and information regarding the booking of seats are given elsewhere in-this issue.
