FAMILY CONCESSION TICKETS
(To the Editor.) Sir,—With reference to the reply oj the Railway Department that it only, issues family concession tickets for se<> ond-class passengers, whilst not disputing the right of the Department to limit the concession, I wrote my letter to point out that by imposing suih a great difference between second-clas* family concession tickets as £5 11s far*s for 250 miles, and £12 is 6d first-class fares, the D<> partment only is to blame if it loses revenue,.as a family, man, whilst willing to pay £8 os for first-class fares, is not likely to pay £12 7s 6d. It is merely another instance of why the railway revenue ia steadily decreasing.—l am, etc., ' BENEDICT. .
