DRUNKEN MOTORIST

DUNEDIN, This Day. A fine of £20 or six weeks' imprisonment was inflicted on Lewis Eeichart at the Port Chalmers Magistrate's Court yesterday for being drunk while in charge of a motor-car. -On his arrival at Port Chalmers last night in a car from Dunedin he was arrested for drunkenness. Mr. K. Eoy, who appeared for Reichart; and pleaded guilty, stated that it was defendant's birthday.
Eeichart, who is a steward, also had his licence cancelled. Messrs. R. B. Polson, J.P., and E. Laley, J.P., were on the bench.
