"THE DAILY HERALD"
BRITISH LABOUR PAPER

LONDON, 12th' November. The "Daily Herald" to-day announces the registration of a new company, "Daily Herald, 1929, Limited," to assume complete responsibility for the future of the newspaper. Fortynine per cent, of the shares will bu held by the T.U.C. and 51 per cent, by Odham's Press, which will print th» paper. Of the board of nine directors, four will represent the T.tT.C. and five Odham's.
Outlining the'policy, Mr. W. MeUor, editor, stresses that it will be a determined fixed policy, as advocated and pursued from time to time by the National Labour Party and the T.TJ.C. "The aim is clear—a great national newspaper appealing to all sorts and conditions, but inspired ■with a steady, unfaltering purpose." The "Herald"" will be enlarged, the stafi increased, insurance schemes introduced, and. World-wide news service organised comparable with that of other national dailies.
