HOSTILE TO GENERAL STRIKE
(Eeceived 11th November, 2.30 p.m.) ' . NEWCASTLE, This Day. The general president of tho Enginedrivers' and Firemen's Association (Mr. Gibson), addressing three thousand miners, said that the coal conference must fail and the miners only hope of victory lay in a general strike. More than half the audience was definitely hostile.
