States and the British Government^ after the Simon Report has been presented, has pleased all parties. Several of the leading Indiaa princes have al< ready definitely approved of the pro* posal for a conference. The announcer nient of this project, together with s. re-statement of the ultimate purpose of British policy, is reported to have hadthe effect of modifying the attit«£*> tx£ Lthe extremists.
