SHORTT'S THEATRE.
"Afterwards," one of the finest British productions so far to be shown to New Zealand motion-picture audiences, is now being screened at Shortt's Theatre. Marjorlo Hume and Julio Suedo have tho principal feminine roles, with J. S. Tozer and Cecil Barry in tho featured male roles, all of these players being distinguished English and Continetal stars. The story Is by Baroness Orczy, and Is recognised as one of her mo3t Interesting pieces of work. As the wife of an English army officer, victimised by the strange spito of an eccentric French maid. Miss Home gives a sympathetic and appealing portrayal of her role which will evoke the strongest admiration. Julio Suedo, as the French maid, handles a difficult role with a fine sense of the dramatic. "Avalanche," a picture from the pen ofZane Grey, starring Jack Holt. Doris Hill, and Baclanova, is the second big attraction.
