For the drat' tlmo south of tlio line, the Choral Union are producing a stage presentation of Coleridge Taylor's ."Hiawatha." Tlio season of ■ tlirc enights will comnience tomorrow night at tho. Town Hall, and there will be a matluco next Saturday afternoon. The whole of the choir scats at the Town Hall will bo removed and tho stage built forward twenty-five feet to allow for tho erection of the scenery representing an Indian village on the prairie. A most effective setting lias been arranged by Mr. W. 3. Conroy, while the lighting effects are In tho hands of Sir. Parker. Tho costumes have been designed by Mrs. M'Mlllan. In Act I. the Totem Ballot will bo presented by Mr. .7. Knowsley and associates, who will also direct the Spring Ballet with 50 children in the third act. Tho opera will bo conducted by Mr. John Bishop and produced by Mr. Harison Cook, botli of whom witnessed tho London production at the Albert Hall. Tho union has engaged a cast of no less than 12 principals from all parts of tho Dominion, Including Mr.. Hubert Carter, who will sing the same part for which he was engaged in the original London production. Heavy booking is reported at the Bristol, where patrons are advised to make tiu-ii- reservations as soon as possible. A full rehearsal will tako placo at tho Town Hall to-night at 7.H0, when only those taking part will bo | admitted. "Tlio box plan for the matinee i opens at the Bristol on Thursday at 9 o'clock.
