RACING CONTROL

AUCKLAND, This Day
. At a meeting of the Auckland District Racing Committee, a deputation was received from the Auckland County Racing C,lubs' Association in connection, with the association's suggestion that some scheme be: evolved whereby, the, various district committees should have a more effective control of the racing in' their respective districts. It was decided to reply to the association, after having heard the.views expressed by members of the deputation— "That in the opinion of the committee, the Auckland Provincial Country Racing Clubs' .Association should en-dea-vjour to arrange a meeting between the /Auckland representatives, provincial and metropolitan, on the New Zealand Eaeing Conference, and representatives from the association to discuss the position in regard to their endeavours to have an alteration made in powers of district, committees."
