AMATEUR BILLIARDS
The. New , Zealand amateur billiards r-nampionßhip is being concluded to-day, t'ne finalists being L. C. Stout (R.S.A., Wellington)' and A. Bowie (Auckland), the present "champion. These two players showed good form in the semi-finals at the Federal Club yesterday, while two other strong contenders for the title, H. Shanks and W. N. Tucker, dropped well below 'their usual standard of play, and were further handicapped'by the run o£ the balls being mainly unfavourable to them. The final, being played this afternoon and to-night, is o£ 1500 up—7so at each session. . .
