BYRD'S BIRTHDAY
GREETINGS FROM MAYOR
Friday, 25th October, was Commander Byrd's birthday, and the Mayor, Mr. G. A. Troup, sent to him the following radio message:—"Wellington sends greetings to party. Many happy returns of 25th October.—Troup, Mayor. " Yesterday afternoon came the reply:— "Appreciate Wellington's birthday greetings. To you, your city officials and people of Wellington, all. god wishes from the inhabitants of Little America —Richard Bvrd."
