A woman driver ran into another vehicle, and bent a mudguard. It worried her. So she went to a garage and asked the mechanic:— "Can you repair this mudguard so that my husband won't know it has been bent?" The mechanic looked at the bent mudguard, and then at the woman, aud replied:— "No, madam, I can't. But I can fix it up so that in.a few days you can ask him how he bent it."- .*
